Off his Marc

It's been a long time since fashion runways had anything to say about the world at large. Gone are the days of insightful and legitimately arresting androgyny; threadbare silk plaid grunge garb or irrationally exuberant bubble skirts. But while the lion's share of fashion garments themselves no longer reflect societal currents, certain designers' biographies are still ripe for fortune telling. Take the example of Marc Jacobs.
